2025 has started very bright for Roscrea and North Tipperary Hospice and recently Colette Ryan from Roscrea set out on a major adventure to support the Roscrea Branch of Hospice.

Colette undertook a major task to prepare and climb to Base Camp at Mount Everest at the end of 2024.

Colette put much work into the preparations and gave much of her time training for the event.

The difference with this adventure is that Colette also fundraised in support of the Roscrea Branch of Hospice, who have undertaken a major project to purchase a premises and renovate it into a much needed cancer care centre for the people of Roscrea and surrounding areas.

The premises is located on Main Street in the heart of Roscrea town.

Colette set up a fund raiser and to her great credit collected €8,000, which will give the Roscrea project a good start.

Colette Ryan wants to extend a sincere thank you to all her family and members of the public in Roscrea and surrounding areas for their generous donations.

Colette presented her cheque of €8,000 recently to Eileen Kennedy and Helen Walshe at the newly opened North Tipperary Hospice Office on Main Street in Roscrea.

Eileen Kennedy, Secretary of North Tipperary Hospice Movement wishes to extend sincere thanks to Colette Ryan for her wonderful gesture and assures the public that the funds will be put to good use for the new cancer centre for Roscrea.

If anyone would like support or information about the Work of North Tipperary Hospice or if anyone would like to get involved in funding raising for the New Cancer Centre for Roscrea please call to see Administration Coordinator Helen Walsh in the New Office Main Street Roscrea or phone (087) 4350841.

“All support is very much appreciated” Roscrea Hospice said.
