The collision occurred at Dalgan on the L1020 in Geashill on Friday morning
Emergency services are attending the scene of a road collision in Offaly on Friday morning.
The incident took place shortly after 10am in Geashill with emergency services attending the scene soon after.
One of the cars involved was turned onto its side ending up in a ditch as a result of the collision on a narrow rural road.
Gardaí have confirmed that the collision happened at Dalgan on the L1020 in Geashill with the road currently closed.
Traffic detours have been put in place locally whilst the collision is dealt with by emergency services with no timescale given on when the road is set to reopen.
No injuries have been reported from the collision.

There have been several reports of treacherous road conditions including instances of black ice particularly in rural areas across Offaly as well as Laois.
A Facebook post by An Garda Síochána Laois/Offaly read: "Gardaí are dealing with a number of road collisions this morning around Laois and Offaly with black ice in places."
Drivers are being advised to drive carefully and be cautious particularly in rural areas where frost has been slower to clear.
