Members of the Roscrea Trail Blazers
Roscrea Trail Blazers hiking group enjoyed another star filled night's walking around The Lough Boora Parklands, where they got to do some star gazing under clear skies.
A fantastic amenity and great to see more developed trails in the making and great to see some new members joining the Roscrea group. Well done to everyone that made the effort.
With the evenings getting longer, it won't be long before they can dispense with the head torches and enjoy walking in daylight.
Their charity walk this year will be in aid of the Offaly Branch of Alzheimer's Ireland with a BBQ on Sunday June 21st. The next section of the Slieve Bloom Way is on Sunday March 29th.
The walk this Friday night March 20th is the Brittas Lake Loop at Clonaslee. Distance: 6.5km, Grade Easy, Time: 1.5 hours. Meeting at the Brittas Lake Trail Head at 7pm. Please bring Head/hand torch.
