Firefighters are battling to put out a blaze which started at a former hotel near Falkirk in the early hours of Monday.
Crews from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were alerted to attend the fire at Airth Castle Hotel at about 1am this morning, it is understood.
Six fire crews and a height vehicle attended the empty hotel when the fire was at its worst and one is still at the scene this morning.
A SFRS spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 1am on Monday September 23 to reports of a fire at the former Airth Castle Hotel in Airth, Falkirk.
“Operations control initially mobilised six appliances and a high reach vehicle to the scene where firefighters found a well-developed fire within a two-storey, derelict building.
“Firefighters have now extinguished the fire, however, one appliance remains on scene as crews dampen down hot spots.
“No casualties were reported.”
