An 87-year-old woman has died in a crash between two cars near Linlithgow.
The collision on the A706 near Carriber Mill just before 7pm on Friday involved a red Honda Civic and a silver Volkswagen T-Roc.
The 87-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the Volkswagen, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The 64-year-old male driver of the Volkswagen and his 63-year-old female passenger were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A 21-year-old man driving the Honda was also seriously injured.
Emergency services closed the road for about eight hours.
Sergeant Barry Sommerville said: “I am appealing to anyone who was driving in the area at the time and who may have seen what happened to contact officers.
“We are also keen to speak to the driver of a Range Rover who was driving along the road around the time of the crash.
“I’d also ask that anyone with dashcam footage review this and see if it has captured anything of significance that could assist with our investigation.”
