Wycombe extended their unbeaten League One run to six matches after playing out a 0-0 draw at Port Vale.
The Chairboys hit the post on two occasions but were unable to break the deadlock and had to settle for a share of the spoils.
The result sees Michael Duff’s team remain 14th on 20 points – six more than Vale who remain in the relegation zone but move up one spot to 22nd.
Marvin Johnson and Ruari Paton both fired wide for Vale with efforts from the left side of the box.
But it was the visitors who looked more threatening and they almost took the lead in the 16th minute when Cauley Woodrow’s strike from Fred Onyedinma’s pull back was tipped over the crossbar by Joe Gauci.
Onyedinma saw an attempt of his own – a toe-poke from close range – hit a post in added time as the teams went in level at the break.
The Chairboys resumed their push for the opener after the restart, with Sam Bell dragging a shot narrowly wide and Alex Lowry’s effort deflecting off target.
Another attempt from Bell, just after the hour, struck a post as the pressure continued to build and Luke Leahy’s header moments later forced Gauci into another excellent save.
At the other end, Wycombe goalkeeper Will Norris had to be at full stretch to tip Rhys Walters’ volley from distance over the crossbar.
