Stockport earned a first league win in four matches as a second-half double sunk Doncaster.
Goals from Ben Osborn and Kyle Wootton proved the difference in a tight contest, with Stockport wrestling control after the break.
Doncaster edged the first half with Luke Molyneux flashing a shot across goal from a tight angle while Jordan Gibson saw a shot blocked by the chest of County defender Brad Hills.
Rovers keeper Thimothee Lo-Tutala denied both Jack Diamond and Malik Mothersille as the visitors grew into the game.
Stockport took the lead on 59 minutes when a hacked clearance fell to Osborn who smashed in a superb strike from the edge of the box.
The advantage was doubled seven minutes later when Diamond pounced on a slack pass and sent in a fine cross which Wootton flicked beyond Lo-Tutala.
Doncaster struggled for a way back into the game with Ben Close’s long-range strike the closest they came to reducing the deficit while Odin Bailey stabbed narrowly over the bar for Stockport.
