Halifax’s National League play-off hopes all but ended following a goalless draw at Yeovil.
Home goalkeeper Jed Ward made a comfortable early save to deny Jay Turner-Cooke before a sterner test from Josh Hmami.
Ward was at his best again just before half-time to keep out Turner-Cooke’s curling effort.
Billy Waters then wasted a glorious chance to put Halifax ahead when he blazed over from close range before Terrell Works was denied by Sam Johnson at the other end.
Turner-Cooke clipped the top of the bar from around halfway in the closing stages as Halifax stayed five points behind seventh-placed Southend, who have two games in hand.
