Luke Hannant came off the bench to fire promotion-chasing Rochdale to a last-gasp 2-1 victory over Wealdstone to keep them within two points of National League leaders York.
Dale started strongly with striker Mani Dieseruvwe calling upon keeper Dante Baptiste with an early strike from distance, although Dom Hutchinson only just failed to get a meaningful touch to Enzio Boldewijn’s curling 29th-minute attempt at the other end.
Tobi Adebayo-Rowling fired into the side-netting as the hosts finished the half strongly, but it remained goalless at the break.
It was Wealdstone who took the lead 13 minutes after the restart when defender Deon Woodman scored from Jack Cook’s square ball, and Jack Welles-Morrison might have increased their advantage amid a goalmouth scramble.
However, Ian Henderson volleyed home a 77th-minute equaliser from Ed Francis’ cross before substitute Hannant blasted a 90th-minute winner past Baptiste.
