Met Éireann issue orange weather alert for Tipperary

A Status Orange weather warning has been issued for County Tipperary with continuing heavy rains and thundery downpours expected.

Slow moving thunderstorms with very heavy downpours and hail have been issued from the Irish weather authorities for Tipperary, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Waterford today from 13.44 to 20.00hrs

Motorists and the public in general should prepare for possible impacts such as flash flooding, very difficult traveling conditions with poor visibility, and potential damage to power lines.
