Holycross/Ballycahill Drama Group are celebrating 60 years in existence this year and we are proud to once again represent our parish in the open section of the Drama festival circuit in Ireland.
They are travelling the length and breath of the country competing against the best Drama groups in the land.

This is their third time competing in the open section,
They are up against very stiff competition, but say they are confident that they have an amazing show, and are looking forward to performing before an audience.
This year, their festival production is 'Sive' by John B Keane, a well known Irish play which is loved by so many.
Sive is also on the Leaving certificate curriculum this year.
It is a story of greed, tragedy, love and loss.
A young girl is sold into marriage to a man old enough to be her grandfather, this sad story unfolds before our eyes with tragic results.
This year, the group’s pre-festival performances will take place on Friday, February 27, and Saturday, February 28, in St Michael's Community Centre, Holycross at 8pm.

Tickets available on the door, where general admission costs €15, and concession and students cost €10.
Tea and coffee will be available during the interval, with a raffle also taking place.
They also have two extra performances on Monday, March 2, and Tuesday, March 3, at 8pm.
Tickets for these nights have been pre-sold but there will still be some tickets available on the door.
The group asks that all interested come along and support them, and enjoy a great night of Irish drama.
