Countdown to major Waterford trad festival is on, with tickets selling out fast

The countdown is on to Dungarvan’s much loved Trad music festival, TuneFest 2024!

Mark your diary for headline gigs with Cherish the Ladies, Talisk and Danú, music workshops, dancing, pub sessions, youth buskers, cd launches, and free outdoor gig rig performances.

TuneFest festival is taking place the weekend of June 21 to 23 and headline concerts will take place each night of the three-day festival, featuring internationally renowned acts Cherish the Ladies, Talisk, and Danú.

The weekend of lively music and something for all ages will bring some of the most talented traditional Irish musicians and singers from Waterford and further afield. The festival is family-friendly, with opportunities for young musicians to perform and learn.

Festival Highlights Include:

  • Friday, June 21: Cherish the Ladies with support act Trí Thine at 7:30pm in Dungarvan Town Hall Theatre (SOLD OUT).
  • Saturday, June 22: Daytime Workshops, youth busking, and by night Talisk & The Johnny Quinn Macs are live in concert at Club Creation at 8pm. Cherish the Ladies perform at 7:30pm in Dungarvan Town Hall Theatre, extra date added to meet demand!
  • Sunday, June 23: CD launches at The Old Bank at 2pm and Danú live in concert at The Park Hotel at 7:30pm.
  • The TuneFest Gig rig on Sunday at 3pm in Grattan Square

Due to a sold-out performance on Friday June 21, festival organisers have added a second show with the Grammy-nominated, Irish-American trad supergroup Cherish the Ladies on Saturday night at 7pm in Dungarvan Town Hall Theatre, supported by Trí Thine. 

Explore the vibrant pub sessions across Dungarvan, where you can experience the best of traditional Irish music in a cozy setting. An ideal opportunity to enjoy an unrivalled weekend full of atmosphere, craic and ceoil!
