Waterford gardaí have confirmed they are looking into complaints about vulgar audio being played during church services in Kilgobnet.

Upset parishioners of the Church of St Gobnait have submitted complaints due to the offensive audio being played over a loudspeaker near services in recent weeks.

Investigating gardaí confirmed the offensive material was being played "on a continuous basis" in the vicinity of Kilgobnet.

A garda spokesperson in Dungarvan stated they are "aware of" the situation and looking into it.

He said, "We're dealing with it."

According to the Irish Mirror, the audio has been played loudly during mass and even during funeral services.

A local parishioner reportedly stated the community is "angry and disgusted" about the situation.
