Altnagelvin cook celebrates hospital ‘Bake Off’ success

A cook at Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry is celebrating after winning first prize in the Hospital Caterers Association “Bake Off”competition.

Sandra Rosborough was placed first in the lemon meringue category.

The competition was held at Knockbracken Healthcare Park, Belfast.

Congratulating Sandra on her success Sonia Gormley, Support Services Manager at the Western Health and Social Care Trust, said: “We are delighted that Sandra has been awarded first prize for her delicious lemon meringue in this highly competitive category. Sandra is a very talented cook and this award is recognition of her hard work and skills.

“Our cooks are dedicated to providing high quality and nutritious meals to patients, staff and visitors in our hospitals every day of the year.”
