Ballymena man (41) who breached bail warned he could face custody

John Paul O'Hagan (41) of High Street in Ballymena went into the Strand Road police station on October 1 telling police he was having suicidal thoughts
A man has appeared at Derry Magistrates Court charged with breaching his bail after taking himself to the police station.
John Paul O'Hagan (41) of High Street in Ballymena went into the Strand Road police station on October 1 telling police he was having suicidal thoughts.
Police then took him to the hospital and while there began to suspect that he was intoxicated, which he admitted to.
O'Hagan was on bail with one of the conditions being that he not consume alcohol.
Defence solicitor Paddy MacDermott said that it had been 'a few years since his last breach' and asked that he be released with a final warning.
Bail was granted on the same conditions as before and he will appear again on October 9 but he was warned not to breach his bail again or he could face custody.
