A man charged in connection with an assault on a businessman in Spencer Road during the annual Apprentice Boys march in August has appeared at Derry Magistrate's Court today.

Ian Knipe (46) of Wentworth Green in Portadown faces a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm on August 12.

A prosecution solicitor said that there were still some issues outstanding including medical evidence and asked for an adjournment.

A defence solicitor said that they had been told that a full file would be completed by today's date.

The court heard that this simply was not possible.

The case was adjourned until November 15
