Community rallies to support staff and pupils at a school which was vandalised last month

A primary and nursery school which was targeted by vandals has hosted a fundraiser to help pay for the damage caused by the attack.
The vandals struck at Ashlea Primary and Nursery School in Tullyally over a month ago, where they broke nine skylight windows.
However, in the wake of the incident parents of pupils and the wider community rallied around the school to help raise monies to pay for the repairs needed to the windows, which resulted in a number of fundraising events being organised, including a charity football match between parents and teachers.
Pictured above are some young girls at the fun day. See today's Derry News for more coverage and photos from the fundraising events.
