Creation of 100 new jobs is 'great news,' says MLA McCartney

The announcement that 100 jobs are to be created in the North West has been welcomed by Foyle Sinn Fein MLA Raymond McCartney.
Seventy-six of the posts are to be created by eight companies in the city.
Sixteen of the jobs are to be created by two new investors to the city, software firms Launch Pad and Peoplesafe.
The positions were announced by Economy Minister Simon Hamilton during a visit to the city this morning.
The total investment is £5.6 million with NI offering £578,400 to support the growth of the businesses.
Once in place, it is expected the new jobs will contribute over £2.5 million in additional salaries to the local economy
Mr McCartney (pictured) described the creation of the new jobs as “great news.”
He added: "These will be highly-skilled and well-paid jobs and will be a further boost to the economy of the North West.
"It shows the strength of our local business community and the potential for further growth.”
