Deputy First Minister backs Foyle Down Syndrome bid for £50k Big Lottery prize

Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness has urged people to support Derry-based Foyle Down Syndrome Trust’s bid to clinch the top prize in a Big Lottery competition.
The local charity is one five finalists in the People’s Project, the winner of which will receive £50,000.
Mr McGuinness met with members of the group at Stormont yesterday.
Speaking after the meeting, he said: “It was an honour and a privilege to welcome the Foyle Down Syndrome Trust and, in particular, two very special people, Lauren and Eve, to my office in Stormont.
“I urge everyone to get behind this campaign to help them secure £50,000.”
