Derry Court: Woman had 'no recollection' of assault

Derry Magistrate's Court heard today how a man working in a local fast food outlet was assaulted by a woman.
Natalie Molloy (28) of Woodleigh Terrace in Derry admitted a charge of assault that occurred between May 31 and June 3.
The court heard that the worker said he had been subjected to verbal abuse from the defendant before she kicked him on the knee.
Defence solicitor Seamus Quigley said that there was not a lot he could say in the case.
He said he assumed that alcohol or some other substance was involved but said his client remembered little about the incident.
The solicitor said that Molloy had 'no recollection' of what the dispute was about.
District Judge Barney McElholm said that it was not the most serious assault and there didn't appear to be any injury.
Molloy was fined £250.
