Obituaries
The following deaths have occurred:-
Raymond Caulfield, Moykeeran, Draperstown
The death has taken place of Raymond Caulfield, 25th May 2023, (peacefully) passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. Devoted husband of Ann loving father of Louise, Joanne Flanagan, Stephen, Marie Celine Bradley, Helen, Sean and Raymond, father in law of Damian, Pearse, Katherine Maria and Roisin. Doting grandfather and great grandfather. Son of the late Hughie and Eileen. Brother of Joan Jackson, Angela Fullerton, Madge Cullinan, Eileen McCullagh and the late Vera McGuigan and Seamus. Deeply regretted by his loving wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren, sisters, brother-in-laws, sister in laws, nephews, nieces and extended family circle. Funeral from his late residence Saturday, 27th May at 10.30am for 11.00o’clock Requiem Mass at the Holy Rosary Church and burial afterwards in Straw. Family time please from 10.00pm to 10.00am. Padre Pio. Sacred heart of Jesus pray for him, our lady of Lourdes pray for him.
Laurence McLaughlin, 135 Priory Road, Dungiven
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Laurence McLaughlin suddenly but peacefully at home on 25th of May 2023. Late of 135 Priory Road, Dungiven, Co Derry. Beloved son of the late Pauline and Johnny R.I.P and loving brother of Jackie, Sandra, Lorraine, Gabriel, Ambrose and Mandy. Deeply regretted by the entire family circle. Wake and funeral arrangements will be updated as soon as they become available. Sacred Heart of Jesus pray for him.
Martin McSheffrey, Shantallow, Derry
The death has taken place of Martin McSheffrey, 20th May 2023, (suddenly) at his home, beloved son of Kathleen and the late Denis, loving father of Graham and Darryl, a much loved grandfather and dear brother of Gloria, Denise, John and Mark. Sadly missed by all his family and friends. His remains will be reposing in his mother’s home, 1 Drumleck Drive, Shantallow. Funeral from there on Friday at 3.00pm to St Brigid's Church, Carnhill for 3.30pm Requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in St Patrick's Cemetery, Iskaheen Muff, Co Donegal. Strictly family flowers only please. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
Billy Ramsey, Ardnashee Park, Derry
The death has taken place of Billy Ramsey, 23rd May 2023, loving father of David, beloved son of the late Mary and Billy Ramsey, formerly of Ardnashee Park, dear brother of Kieran and Paula and a much loved uncle. His remains will be reposing in his brother’s home, 27 Whitehill, Muff. Funeral from there on Saturday at 10.20am for 11o’clock Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
