The following deaths have occurred:-
Michael Coyle, 59 Leenan Gardens, Creggan, Derry
The death has occurred of Michael Coyle, 28th December 2022, beloved husband of Rosemary, 59 Leenan Gardens, Creggan, loving father of Alana, Cathy, Michael, John, Thomas, Seamus and the late Michelle, a much loved father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather and dear brother of Kathleen, John and Rosemary. Funeral from his home on Saturday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Creggan. Interment afterwards in the City cemetery. Family time please from 10.00pm to 11.00am. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to Macmillan Cancer Care. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
John Moody, 5 Caw Hill, Derry
The death has taken place of John Moody, 28th December 2022, (peacefully) at his home 5, Caw Hill Park, Derry (in the tender loving care of his family in his 91st year) much loved husband of the late Margaret, devoted father of Alan, Sandra and Valerie, loving father-in-law of Bernie, Rick and Andrew, adored granda of Jessica, Isobel, Zoe, Mark, Neil and the late John, dearest brother of Alan and the late Jim, Robert and Leslie, a dear brother-in-law of Margaret, Audrey, Dorothy and Irene. Funeral leaving his late home at 12.00noon on Saturday, 31st December for a Service of Thanksgiving for his life in Waterside Presbyterian Church at 12.30pm, burial afterwards in Ballyoan Cemetery. Greta Mullan, Crossview, 326 Foreglen Road, Dungiven
The death has occurred of Greta Mullan, 29th December 2022, beloved wife of the late Jim, Crossview, 326 Foreglen Road, Dungiven, loving mother of Seamus, Anna and Madeleine and a much loved grandmother and great-grandmother. House restricted to family only please. Funeral from her home on Saturday at 10.30am for 11o’clock Requiem Mass in St Peter & St Paul’s Church, Foreglen. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
Iris Mae McAllister, Limavady
The death has occurred of Iris Mae McAllister, (peacefully) assed away at Cornfield Care Centre on 27th December 2022. Much loved wife of the late Dr. Willard McAllister, devoted mother of Terrence and Rory. Also, a loving grandmother to Sarah-Beth and Felicity. Funeral service will be held in Christ Church, Limavady on Saturday at 2.00pm followed by burial at Tamlaghtard Church at 3.20pm. Family flowers only please. Robert James McAllister, Aghadowney (Updated arrangements)
The death has taken place of Robert James McAllister (formerly Brone, Aghadowey) 27th December 2022, (peacefully) in Ashbrook Care Home, son of the late William Joseph and Annie and brother of Martha (Lagan), Rosemary (Price), Maureen (McCarron), Bernadette (O’Kane) and the late Annie Kathleen (O’Kane), Eileen (Ward), Joe and Pat. Robert is reposing in McKiernan’s Funeral Home, 45-47 Maghera Street , Kilrea, BT51 5QL. Everyone welcome to call today (Friday) from 2.00pm - 6.00pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11.00am in Our Lady of the Assumption, Church Aghadowey. As per Robert’s wishes a private cremation will take place at a later date. St. Anthony pray for Him. Deeply regretted by the entire family circle.
Mark McCloskey, Dungiven
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Mark McCloskey (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Intensive Care Unit on 28th December 2022. Beloved son of Damian and Kathleen, loving brother of Helen, Toni, Ryan, Laura and Niall, dear father of Jordan and Kelly. Deeply regretted by his former wife Liz, sister in law, brothers in law, aunts, uncles and the entire family circle. Reposing at his father Damien’s home, 109 Curragh Road, Dungiven, Co Derry. Family time please from 10.00pm to 11.00am. Funeral on Saturday, 31st December leaving at 11.15am for 12noon Requiem Mass in Saint Patrick’s Church Dungiven. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Sacred Heart of Jesus pray for him.
Maureen McGinn (née McLucas), 2 Silverbirch Crescent, Woodburn, Derry
The death has taken place of Maureen McGinn (née McLucas), 29th December 2022, (peacefully) at home, beloved wife of the late Jim, 2 Silverbirch Crescent, Woodburn, cherished mother of Gerard, Jim, Fiona and Siobhan and a much loved grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Maureen’s wake will take place in her home on Friday from 1.30pm to 10.00pm. Funeral from there on Saturday at 1.30pm for 2o’clock Requiem Mass in St Columb’s Church, Waterside. Interment afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. Family flowers only please. Loving mother of Damien, Gerard, Finuala, and Mark, a much loved grandmother of Anastasia, Olivia, and Nicholas and great-grandmother of Ruben.
