The following deaths have occurred:-
Isobel Barnes (née Gray), Sherbourne Park, Magherafelt
The death has taken place of Isobel Barnes (née Gray), 10th June 2023, (peacefully) at her home, in the loving tender care of her family, Isobel, Dean Crooks Fold, Newtownards Road, Belfast and formerly of Sherbourne Park, Magherafelt, dearly beloved wife of the late Sandy, much loved and devoted mother of Helen, John and Alastair, dear mother-in-law of Richard and Heather, much loved nana of Bronwyn, Matthew and Rebecca and dearest sister of Peggy and the late William, Lily, Sammy, Jim, Susan and Harry. House strictly private. Funeral service in Garvin’s Funeral Home on Wednesday at 1.00pm followed by burial in Polepatrick Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Violet Burns, Coleraine
The death has taken place of Violet Burns, (suddenly) at Causeway Hospital Coleraine, dear partner of the late Norman Neill (Nazza) and loving mother of Natasha, Stacey, Peter, Patrick, Gordon, Michael, loving grandmother of Jordon, Aimee, Leah, Orlaith, Erinn and the late Emma and mother-in-law of Jamie, 68 Ballycastle Road, Coleraine. Funeral arrangements will be updated when they become available. Deeply regretted by the Burns Family, especially her dog Lenny, brother and sister Ken and Marion and extended family.
Norma Iris Campbell, 47 Coleraine Road, Garvagh
The death has taken place of Norma Campbell, 11th June 2023, (peacefully) at her home, surrounded by her family, 47 Coleraine Road, Garvagh, dearly beloved wife of the late Stewart, much loved mother of Karen, George, Allister and Fiona and a dear mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother. Funeral Service in St. Paul’s Parish Church on Tuesday at 2.00pm followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard. House private. Family flowers only please. Dympna Deeney, Culmore Park, Derry
The death has occurred of Dympna, 10th June 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, (formerly of Belmont Estate and late of Culmore Park), beloved daughter of the late Andrew and Mary-Anne, loving sister of Thomas, Eunan and the late John (Sonny), devoted aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Funeral leaving her brother Eunan’s home, 22 Dunkeld Avenue on Tuesday, 13th June at 12.20pm to St. Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn for Requiem Mass at 1.00pm. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Gerard McCarron, Howard Street, Derry
The death has occurred of Gerard McCarron, 11th June 2023, (peacefully), (formerly of Howard Street), beloved husband of Jean, dear son of the late Patrick and Margaret, loving brother of Michael, Patsy, Majella, Kathleen and the late Pauline, Jean, Jimmy and Roseleen. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle and friends. Ellen McFaul, Muff
The death has taken place of Ellen McFaul, 11th. June 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, (Retired housekeeper St. Columba’s Longtower), beloved daughter of the late Michael and Rose, loving sister of James, Celine and the late Mary, Rose and Bridget, dear sister-in-law to Eileen and Johnny, devoted aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Funeral leaving her home Glackmore, Ture, Muff, F93 VY 74, on Tuesday, 13th June at 10.15am to St. Patrick’s Church, Iskaheen for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Pearl Steele, 11 Landsdowne Road, Derry
The death has taken place of Pearl Steele, 10th June 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin hospital, beloved wife of the late Billy, loving mother of Yvonne and Roberta dear mother in law of Roy and Hugh, devoted grandmother of Jonathan, Derek, Ryan, and Emma and a beloved great grandmother and great great grandmother. Funeral leaving her home, 11 Landsdowne Road at 1.00pm for 1.30pm service in Glendermott Parish church at 1.30pm on Tuesday, 13th June followed by burial in Ballyoan cemetery. Family flowers only donations in lieu if wished to Glendemott Parish Church c/ o the Parish office, Canon Kelly Hall, Church Brae Londonderry. Family time only please from 10.00pm until 11.00am. Linda Thornton, Derry
The death has taken place of Linda Thornton, 11th June 2023, at Altnagelvin Hospital, Culmore Manor and formerly of Iona House, Strabane and Marlborough Road, Derry. Beloved daughter of the late Lillian and James Thornton, much loved sister of Sylvia, Trevor, Iris and the late Mervyn, Gordon and Patricia. Reposing at Quigley’s Funeral Home, Strabane on Tuesday, 13th June from 7.00pm to 8.00pm. Funeral Service in Quigley’s Funeral Home, Strabane on Wednesday, 14th June at 1.30pm. Interment afterwards in Altnagelvin Cemetery. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing brother, sisters and family circle. The Lord is My Shepherd.
