The death has taken place of the late Sheila Beattie, November 30 2024, (peacefully) in the loving care of her family, 2 Derganagh Road, Knockloughrim, dearly beloved wife of Clifford, much loved and devoted mother of Ellie and Molly, daughter of Raymond and the late Yvonne, dearest sister of Norman, Carolynn, David and Gregg. Family and friends welcome at her home from 2.00pm - 9.00pm. Funeral from her home on Tuesday (December 3) at 1.00pm for service in Knockloughrim Presbyterian Church at 1.30pm approx. followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please. The death has occurred of the late John (John B) Bryson, November 30 2024, (peacefully) in Antrim Area Hospital, late of 18 Ballyeglish Road, Moneymore, much loved son of Margaret and the late Tommy, dearly beloved husband of Lue, much loved and devoted father of Simon and Stephanie, dear father-in-law of Claire and David, much loved grandfather of Isaac and Ezra and a dear brother. House strictly private. Funeral arrangements later. Always loved and remembered by the entire family circle. “Peacefully sleeping, free from all pain, until we meet again”.
Rose Gibbons (née McGinnis), 9 Heathfield, Culmore Road, Derry
The death has occurred of the late Rose Gibbons (née McGinnis), December 1 2024, beloved wife of the late John, devoted mother of James and his partner Lorena, dear sister of Theresa, Bridget, Elizabeth, Mena, Patrick, Michael, John and the late Maureen, Joe, James and Brian and a much loved aunt and great-aunt. Her remains will be reposing in her home, 9 Heathfield, Culmore Road, from 11.00am- 9.00pm on Monday. Funeral from there on Tuesday at 9.30pm for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown. Interment afterwards in Star of the Sea Cemetery, Faughanvale. The death has taken place of the late Samuel John Kennedy (Sam) Hyndman, November 30 2024 (suddenly), dearly loved Husband of Moyra, 12 Curragh Road, Maghera, much loved Daddy of Arlene, Stephen and Lorraine, a dear Father-in-Law of Colin and devoted Granda of Megan and Cameron. All welcome at the Family home between 2:00pm and 9:00pm. A Service of Thanksgiving for Sam's Life will take place in First Magherafelt Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, December 4 at 2:30pm, preceded by a private burial. Family flowers only please. Dympna McConnell (née Doherty), Derry
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of the late Dympna McConnell (née Doherty), November 30 2024, peacefully at her daughter Marie’s home, after a short illness, bravely borne, surrounded by her loving family, (formerly of Springvale Park), beloved wife of the late Patsy, loving mother of Marie, Edel and Gary, dear mother-in-law of Sean, devoted grandmother of Connor and Michael, and a dear and loving sister of the late Roseleen, Joan and Sally. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle. Dympna will be reposing at her daughter’s Marie’s home, 11 Lindenwood Park. Funeral leaving her home on Tuesday, December 3 at 11:20am to Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty for Requiem Mass at 12:00noon. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Vincent (Vinny) O’Callaghan, 32 Daisyhill Park, Derry
It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Vincent (Vinny) O’Callaghan, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on November 30 2024. Late of 32 Daisyhill Park. May he rest in peace. Beloved husband of Rosaleen. Devoted father of Martina, Vincent, Deirdre, Gary, Roisin and Mairead. Loving granda of Eve, Sarah, Vincent, Eadaoin, Rose, Peadar, Mollie and Kevin. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle and friends. Vincent’s remains are now reposing at his late residence, 32 Daisyhill Park.
