Obituaries
The following deaths have occurred:-
Patrick Callaghan, 124 Rockfield, Derry
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Patrick Callaghan, (peacefully) at Owen Mor Care Home on 27th May 2023. Late of 124 Rockfield. May he rest in peace. Beloved son of the late William and Mary. Loving brother of Vincent and the late John, Celine, George, Tony and Lawerence. A much loved uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Patrick’s remains are now reposing at the McClafferty Funeral Home and Chapel of Rest. Funeral leaving from there on Monday, 29th May at 9.20am for 10.00am Requiem Mass in Our Lady Of Lourdes Church, Steelstown. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at the McClafferty funeral home and chapel of rest between 4.00pm and 9.00pm today (Sunday 28th May). Ron Crockett, 12 Castle Gardens, Limavady
The death has occurred of Ron Crockett, passed away at Altnagelvin Hospital on 26th May 2023.
Much loved husband of the late Winifred, loving father of Stacey, dear brother of Richard, Barbara, Wallace, Ian, David, Dean, Ryan, the late Ivor and Ronald, and very dear friend of Danny. (House strictly private, family only), late of 12 Castle Gardens. Funeral service in his late home on Monday at 11.00am followed by graveside service in Christ Church Limavady at 11.45am. Family flowers only please donations if desired and cheques payable to Marie Curie Cancer Care and forwarded to Browns Funeral Directors, 21 Aghanloo Ind Est., Aghanloo Road, Limavady (in memory of his late wife). Will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his entire family circle.
Liam Harkin, formerly of 97 St. Columba’s Wells, Derry
The death has occurredof Liam Harkin, 25th May 2023, (suddenly) at his home 48 Collins Road, Preston, Lancashire, England, formerly of 97 St. Columba’s Wells, beloved husband of Sandra, loving father of Melissa and Simon, dear son of the late Bill and Rose, loving brother of Nellie Wagner, Mary Doherty, Rev. Fr. Dermott Harkin, and the late Betty Gorman, Shaun and Joseph Harkin. Funeral arrangements later. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Mary mother of the church pray for him.
