The following deaths have occurred:-
William Carlin, Stradowen Drive, Strathfoyle, Derry
The death has occurred of William Carlin, 9th August 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved son of the late Margaret and Dickie, Stradowen Drive, Strathfoyle loving brother of Marty, Hugo, Vera, Patsy, Kathleen , Jacqueline and the late Tony, Dickie and Peter and a much loved uncle. His remains will be reposing in his sister’s home, 45 Stradowen Drive, Strathfoyle from 5 pm on Wednesday. Funeral from there on Friday at 12.30pm for 1o'clock Requiem Mass in St Oliver Plunkett's Church, Strathfoyle. Interment afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery. Family time please from 10.00pm to 11.00am. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
Sadie Doherty (née McFetridge), 41 Blackthorn Court, Coleraine
The death has taken place of Sadie Doherty (née McFetridge), 8th August 2023, (peacefully) at her home, 41 Blackthorn Court, Coleraine, dearly beloved wife of Johnnie, much loved mother of David, Ingrid, Warren and Bill, dear mother-in-law of Aidan, Courtney and Lara, loving grandmother of Danielle, Nicole, Nadine, Robyn, Travis, Colin, Lily, Eli and Leo, devoted great-grandmother of Luca and also a dear sister and aunt. Service in her home on Saturday at 12.00noon followed by interment in St Guarie’s Parish Churchyard, Aghadowey. Family and close friends welcome at her home. Family flowers only please. Martina Lynch (née Harkin), 7 Ardanlee Park, Culmore, Derry
The death has occurred of Martina Lynch (née Harkin), 8th August 2023, beloved wife of Sean, 7 Ardanlee Park, Culmore, loving mother of Colleen, Danielle and Aisling, mother-in-law of Lee, Stephen and Luke, devoted granny of Eirinn, Adam, Ryan, Anna, Alfie, Aela, Evie and Rosie, cherished daughter of the late Anthony and Patricia Harkin and dear sister of Lorraine, Colin, Daniel and the late Daniel, Tony and Kevin. Her remains will be reposing in her home. Funeral from there on Friday at 9.20am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Creggan. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Tony McKeown, Derry
The death has occurred of Tony McKeown, 3rd August 2023, (peacefully) at home, aged 96 years. Beloved Husband of the late Avril and Loving Father of Sally-Anne and a Devoted Grandfather of Maya and Shane. Funeral service will take place on Friday, 11th August at 10.00am in St Eugene's Cathedral, Derry. Interment immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only. Marian McMonagle (née McGettigan), 86 Springvale Park, Derry
The death has occurred of Marian McMonagle (née McGettigan), 9th August 2023, (peacefully) surrounded by her loving family, after a short illness, at Altnagelvin Hospital, (formerly of Westway), beloved wife of Charlie, loving mother of Bronagh, Caoimhe and the late Diarmuid, devoted grandmother of Conall, Róise, Cian, Ruairi and Fearghal, beloved daughter of the late Danny and Helen, loving sister of Kevin and Caroline, dear mother-in-law to John and Mark, a cherished aunt to all her nieces. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Marian will be reposing at her home, 86 Springvale Park on Thursday from 11.00am to 10.00pm. Funeral leaving her home on Friday, 11th August at 10.30am to Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for her.
Harry Morrow, 27 Glenmore Park, Derry
The death has taken place of Harry Morrow, 8th August 2023, beloved husband of Reba, 27 Glenmore Park, loving father of Colin, Gemma and the late Leona, much loved grandfather of Kayleigh, Caden and Harry and great-grandfather of Lyla, son of the late Lily and Harry Morrow, (Cromore Gardens), much loved brother John, Theresa, Bobby, Lily, Anne, Michael, Sally, Tony and the late Sheila (Mackey) and a dear brother-in-law. His remains will be reposing in his home. Funeral from there on Friday at 11.00am for Requiem Mass in St. Columb’s Church, Waterside at 11.30am. Interment afterwards in Ballyoan Cemetery. Jean Nicholl, 29 Carrick Avenue, Largy
The death has taken place of Jean Nicholl, 9th August 2023, (peacefully) at hospital, formerly of 29 Carrick Avenue, Largy.
Dearly loved aunt of Stephen, Malcolm, Nigel, Yvonne and the late Heather. Service of thanksgiving in Largy Presbyterian Church on Friday at 11.00am followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard. Dr David William Paul, formerly of Ballinacross, Knockloughrim
The death has taken place of Dr David William Paul, 31st July 2023, (peacefully) at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London, after a short illness, formerly of Ballinacross, Knockloughrim, beloved Son of the late Robert and Meta, much loved Brother of Robert and dearest Brother-in-Law of Irene. All welcome at Robert and Irene's home, 86 Scroggy Road, Limavady on Thursday, 10th August from 12noon to 10.00pm. Funeral Service in Knockloughrim Presbyterian Church on Friday, 11th August at 2.00pm, followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. Forever loved and sadly missed by his sorrowing Brother, Sister-in-Law and the entire Family Circle.
William John (Billy) Wray, 10 Riverside Park, Altnagelvin, Derry
The death has taken place of William John (Billy) Wray, 9th August 2023, (peacefully) at home (surrounded by his loving family in his 91st year) much loved husband of the late Juin, devoted dad of Wendy, William, Shirley and Edward, a loving father-in-law, an adored granda and dearest brother of Vena (U.S.A.), and the late Maisie, Kathleen and Sammy. A Service of Thanksgiving for his life will take place in his late home, 10 Riverside Park, Altnagelvin on Friday, 11th August at 1.30pm, followed by burial in Ballyoan Cemetery.
