The following deaths have occurred:-
Gerald Darragh, 59 Eden Road, Knockloughrim
The death has taken place of Gerald Darragh (Lavey), peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Barbara (née Dempsey, Kilrea); loving father of Jenna (McShane) and Nicole; father-in-law of Eamon and doting Granda of Cassie. Loving son of Mary and the late James and dear brother of Charlie, Jean and the late John. Gerald’s wake will commence on Thursday at 12noon. Family time 10.00pm-10.00am please. Funeral from his late residence, 59 Eden Road, Knockloughrim, BT45 8PL on Saturday at 10.15am for 11o’clock Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Lavey (Requiem Mass can be viewed at: https://churchmedia.tv/church-of-our-lady-of-mercy). Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. St. Pio pray for him. Deeply regretted by the entire Darragh and Dempsey family circle. Family flowers only please. Sally Devine, 105 Marlborough Road, Derry
The death has occurred of Sally Devine, 20th September 2023, peacefully at her home, 105 Marlborough Road, (formerly of Stroanbrack, Donemana), beloved wife of the late James G Devine, loving mother of Bernadette, Brian, Angela, John, Roisin, James, Siobhán and Eamon, dear daughter of the late Bernard and Mary-Ellen and a devoted grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law to Kay, Brian, Denis, Conor, Sinead, Paddy and the late Stephanie, sister and loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Sally will be reposing at her daughter Bernadette’s home, 58 Brookhill on Thursday from 11.00am to 10.00pm. Funeral leaving 58 Brookhill on Friday at 9.20am to St. Eugene’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Michelle Doherty (née Doherty), 63 Ballyrogan Road, Ballerin (Updated arrangements)
The death has taken place of Michelle Doherty (née Doherty), 19th September 2023, peacefully at Causeway Hospital, beloved wife of David (DD) and loving mother of Riona. Much loved daughter of James and Margaret and dear sister of David. House Private Please. Family and close friends only welcome to call. Funeral from her late residence, 63 Ballyrogan Road, on Friday at 11.15am (travelling via Liscall Road/Ballerin Park Road) for 12noon Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Ballerin. (Mass will be broadcast live on the parish website http://www.errigalparish.com/media.html). A private Cremation service will take place at a later date. St. Jude pray for her. Rev. Fr. John Downey, (Moneyneena) Derry
The death has occurred of Rev. Fr. John Downey (Moneyneena), beloved brother of Pat, Ann, Jacinta, Roma and the late Lawrence. Fr Downey's Requiem Mass and Office for the Dead at 12.00 noon in St. Eugene's, Moneyneena on Thursday, 21 September followed by interment in the City Cemetery, Derry. Mario Hegarty, Derry
The death has taken place of Mario Hegarty, 20th September 2023, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved husband of Kathleen, loving father of Judi and Allyn, devoted grandfather of Connor, cherished brother of Damien, Faustina and Jacinta. Mario will be reposing at his sister Jacinta's home, 8 Shandon Park, Derry on Thursday, 21st September from 4.00pm. Funeral leaving 8 Shandon Park on Saturday, 23rd September at 10.15am to Sacred Heart Church, Muff for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery. Frank Kivlehan, 6 Aldrin Pass, Derry
The death has taken place of Frank Kivlehan, 19th September 2023, suddenly at his home, 6 Aldrin Pass, beloved husband of Bridie, loving father of Aidan, Jim, Frank (jr.), Majella and Katriona, a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather, dear brother of Willie, Noel, Michael, Mona, Charlotte and the late Jimmy. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle and friends. Frank will be reposing at his home on Thursday from 12noon to 9.00pm. Samuel (Sammy) McGregor, 9 Drumachose Park, Limavady
The death has taken place of Samuel (Sammy) McGregor, passed away peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on 20th September 2023. Late of 9 Drumachose Park, Limavady. Much loved husband of Annie and loving Father of Sharon and Rhonda, Father in law of Gregory, devoted grandfather of Luke, Jessica, Courtney and Millie. Friends and family welcome to call at the family home from Thursday 10.00am. Funeral leaving his late home on Saturday at 1 30pm for service in 1st Limavady Presbyterian Church at 2.00pm followed by burial in adjoining Churchyard. William McLaughlin, Derry
The death has taken place of William McLaughlin, 17th September 2023, peacefully at Alnagelvin Hospital, (formerly of Culmore Manor and Dunvale House), beloved son of the late Denis and Molly, dear brother of Denise, Paul and the late Jackie and Elaine and a much loved uncle and cousin. His remains are reposing in her sister’s home, 32 Mansefield Grove, Ballyarnett. Funeral from there on Friday at 10.30am for 11o’clock Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn.
