Obituaries
The following deaths have occurred:-
Maureen Casey (née Spellman), Culmore, Derry
The death has taken place of Maureen Casey (née Spellman), 24th October 2023, beloved wife of the late Donal, formerly of Culmore Road, loving mother of Daniel, Emer, Bernard and Niall, mother-in-law of Julia and Siobhan, cherished grandmother of David, Sarah, Riadhna, Breffni, Cara, Rory and the late Donal and dear sister of Brian and the late Joseph, Berna, Lily and Tommy. Her remains will be reposing in 7 Greenwood, Culmore, BT48 8NP from 5.00pm - 8.30pm on Thursday and Friday. Funeral from there on Saturday at 9.25am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn. Interment afterwards in Ballyoan Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to Age NI, 3 Lower Crescent, Belfast, BT7 1NR. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
Joan McKay, Limavady (formerly Drumahoe)
The death has taken place of Joan McKay, 24th October 2023, peacefully at Rush Hall Care Home after a long and difficult illness, Limavady and formerly of Drumahoe (aged 90 years). Beloved wife of the late Russell, loving mother of Ann, Susan and Ruth, mother-in-law of Mike and cherished granny of Maddie and Caitlin. Deeply missed by her family and by Phil and her other close friends. She will be fondly remembered as a teacher at Drumahoe Primary School. Funeral service will be held in Christ Church, Castlerock on Friday at 2.00pm followed by burial in the Presbyterian burying ground, Downhill. At rest.
William Ronald (Ronnie) McQuilkin, Coleraine
The death has taken place of William Ronald (Ronnie) McQuilkin, 24th October 2023, peacefully at Brookmount Nursing Home, Aged 69, formerly of Ballysally and Millburn, Coleraine. Dearly loved son of the late Jack and Sally, loving Brother of Trevor, Betty, Yvette, Al, Carol, Alison and the late Wendy and Eileen and a much loved uncle and great-uncle. Funeral service in Wades Funeral Home, Coleraine on Friday at 11.00am followed by interment in Coleraine Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Margaret O'Hagan (née Smith), 246 Carnhill, Derry
The death has occurred of Margaret O'Hagan (née Smith), 25th October 2023, beloved wife of the late Daniel, 246 Carnhill, loving mother of Denise, Troy and the late Ryan, mother-in-law of Brian and Yvonne, devoted grandmother of Lauren, Erin, Callum, Shaun, Sarah and Kristian and dear sister of Patsy, James and the late Charlie, Johnny, Bernie, Lily, Hughie and Frances. Her remains will be reposing in her home from 6.00pm on Wednesday. Funeral from there on Friday at 10.30am for 11o’clock Requiem Mass in St Brigid’s Church, Carnhill. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
