The following deaths have occurred:-
John Biddle, 5 Greenhaw Road, Derry
The death has occurred of John Biddle, 20th November 2022, (peacefully) at Edenballymore Lodge Care Home, beloved husband of the late Chrissie, loving father of John, David, Michael and the late Paul, a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather, father-in-law to Sandra, Rona and Eileen and a dear and loving brother of Susan and the late Barry. Funeral leaving his home, 5 Greenhaw Road, on Tuesday, 22nd November at 12.00noon to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown for Requiem Mass at 12.30pm followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Co. Cavan at 4.30pm. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for him.
Emma Elizabeth (Amy) Branter, 42 Hazlebank Road, Drumahoe
The death has taken place of Emma Elizabeth (Amy) Branter, 20th November 2022, (peacefully) at her home, 42 Hazlebank Road, Drumahoe. Dearly beloved wife of Roy, a loving mother of Janice, Linda, Joanne and Lisa, much-loved mother-in-law of Chris, Jason, Scotty and David, loving sister of Irene, David and Trevor and a devoted grandmother to Lucy, Matthew, Mollie, Curtis and Maisie. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, 23rd November 2022 at 2.00pm in Glendermott Parish Church, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard. Family flowers only please. Donations if wished in lieu of flowers to Marie Curie Cancer Care c/o Mrs Joan Doherty, 20 Dunhugh Park, Victoria Road, Derry, BT47 2NL or The Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Derry, BT48 8JE. Amy will be sadly missed by her entire family circle and friends. God saw her getting weary and cure was not to be. He put his arms around her and whispered Come to me.
Damien Feeney, 92 Slaughtmanus Road, Tamnaherin
The death has taken plave of Damien Feeney, 21st November 2022, beloved son of Barney and Brigid and loving brother of Kevin and Lorraine. Funeral from his home, 92 Slaughtmanus Road, on Wednesday at 11.20am for 12o’clock Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Tamnaherin. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Patricia Plumb (née McCready), 22 Kilburn Crescent, Derry
The death has occurred of Patricia Plumb (née McCready), 20th November 2022, beloved wife of the late Frank, loving mother of Frank, Paul and Bernadette, mother-in-law of Sonia, a much loved grandmother and great-grandmother and dear sister of Bosco, George, Christina and the late Seamus, Lily, Mary, Bridie and Vera. Funeral from her home, 22 Kilburn Crescent, on Wednesday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St. Columb’s Church, Waterside. Interment afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. Family time please from 10.00pm to 11.00am. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
James Darragh Shiels, 3 Fern Drive, Magherafelt
The death has taken place of James Darragh Shiels, 21st November 2022, (peacefully) after a long illness, much loved husband of Marlene, 3 Fern Drive, Magherafelt, and formerly of Knocknakielt, Maghera, dearly loved father of Jason and Paul, dear father-in-law of Ali and Philippa, loving grampa of Michaela, Tarryn, Jayden, Jack and Alex and dearest brother of William, John, David and Philip. Bridget Watkins (née McCool), 20 Linsfort Drive, Derry
The death has taken place of Bridget Watkins (née McCool), 20th November 2022, (peacefully) at her home, 20 Linsfort Drive, loving mother of Elaine, Matthew, Aidan, Karen and the late Kevin, a devoted grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Sadly missed by the wider family circle. Funeral leaving her home on Wednesday, 23rd November at 11.20am to St. Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 12.00noon.
