The following deaths have occurred:-
Anthony Norman (Tony) Henderson, 8 Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry
The death has taken place of Anthony Norman (Tony) Henderson, 7th August 2023, (suddenly but peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital (surrounded by his loving family) much loved husband of Joan, loving father of Gary and Colin, father-in-law of Lorraine and Maoliosa, very loving grandfather of Craig, Kyle and Kayla, dearest brother of Annabel and the late Olga. Funeral leaving his late home, 8 Church Road, Altnagelvin on Thursday, 10th August at 12.30pm followed by a Service of Thanksgiving for his life in Glendermott Presbyterian Church at 1.00pm burial afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired to Alzheimer’s Society c/o Mrs. Ruth Hay, Funeral Director, 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ. Family time please from 9.00pm until 12.00 noon. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his entire family circle. Peace Perfect Peace.
Edith Murielle Joyce (née Nutt) McKean, Limavady
The death has taken place of Edith Murielle Joyce (née Nutt) McKean, 7th August 2023, (peacefully) at Cornfield Care Centre, Limavady (surrounded by her loving family) dearly beloved wife of Tommy, much loved mother of Penny, Caroline and Samantha, loving mother-in-law of Alan, Philip and Martin, adored grandmother of Claire, Tom, Andrew, Lucy and the late Olly, dear sister of Nigel and the late Kingsley. Service of Thanksgiving for her life in D. & R. Hay & Sons, Funeral Home, 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ on Wednesday, 9th August at 1.00pm, followed by burial in Upper Cumber Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired to Lewy Body c/o Mrs Ruth Hay, Funeral Director (address as above). Everyone is welcome to call at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, 8th August from 11.00am until 3.00pm and Tuesday evening from 6.00pm until 8.00pm Very deeply missed and will be lovingly remembered by her entire family circle. John Madden, 53 Clarendon Street, Derry
The death has taken place of John Madden, 7th August 2023, beloved son of the late Patrick and Marion, 53 Clarendon Street, loving brother of the late Marion, Oonagh, Joseph and Hilda and deeply regretted by all his cousins, friends and neighbours. His remains will be removed from W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton on Tuesday at 6.30 pm to St Eugene’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 10 am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. The Mass can be viewed live via the church webcam. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
Ann Wade (nèe Doherty), 8 Lindenwood Park, Foyle Springs, Derry
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Ann Wade (nèe Doherty), (peacefully) at Oakleaves Care Home on 6th August 2023. Late of 8 Lindenwood Park, Foyle Springs. May she rest in peace. Beloved wife of the late Raymond. Devoted mother of Gary, Keith, Jacqueline and Paul. Loving grandmother of Caoimhe, Fearghal, Aodhan, Ella and Jude. A much loved mother-in-law of Deirdre and Gary. Precious daughter of the late Letitia and Philip. Dearest sister of Lucy, Marie and the late Meta, Philip and Paddy. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Ann’s remains are now reposing at her daughter Jacqueline’s residence, 26 Corn Mill Park, Campsie. Funeral leaving from there on Wednesday 9th August at 10:15am for 11am Requiem Mass in Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. Wake house will be strictly private from 10pm until 11am and also strictly private on the morning of Ann’s funeral Wednesday, 9th August.
