The following deaths have occurred:-
Maureen Clifford (née Harrigan), 28 Inch View, Derry
The death has taken place of Maureen Clifford (née Harrigan), 29th November 2022, (peacefully) at her home, 28 Inch View, beloved wife of the late Jimmy (Douse), loving mother of Carol, Martina and Patricia, and a dear and loving grandmother to Maoliosa, Danielle and Ryan and great grandmother to Reece, Cadhan, Amelia and Dara. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Funeral leaving her home on Thursday, 1st December at 9.20am to Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family time please from 10.00pm to 12.00noon. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for her.
Eileen Mitchell (née McCullagh), 4 Keenaught Road, Desertmartin
The death has occurred of Eileen Mitchell (née McCullagh) (Desertmartin), 29th November 2022, beloved wife of Kevin and loving mother of Emma (Young), Karen (Mulhern), Pauline (O’Boyle) and Barry, daughter of Mary Brigid and the late Dominic McCullagh and dear sister of Sean, Josephine O’Connor, Eugene, Patricia Eastwood and the late Rosemary McMullan. Funeral from her home, 4 Keenaught Road, Desertmartin on Thursday 1st December at 10.30am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church Keenaught, interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Deeply regretted by her husband, son, daughters, sons in law Seanie, John and Mark, grandchildren Emily, Coelainn, Collum, Logan, Rachel, Aidan and Connla, mother, brothers, sisters nephews, nieces and large family circle. Mary (May) Mitchell (née Burke), 11 Mourne Drive, Waterside
The death has taken place of Mary (May) Mitchell (née Burke), 28th November 2022, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital (surrounded by her loving family) dearly loved wife of the late Robert (Ronnie) much loved mum of Robert, David and Leslie, adored granny May and great-granny, a dear sister, sister-in-law and aunt and great aunt. Funeral leaving her late home, 11 Mourne Drive, Waterside, on Thursday 1st December at 1.30pm followed by a Service of Thanksgiving for her life in Glendermott Parish Church at 2.00pm burial afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only, donations in lieu id desired to Glendermott Parish Church c/o Rectory Office, Church Brae, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 2LS. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her entire family circle. At Peace.
Alan Moore, formerly of Kilrea
The death has taken place of Alan Moore, 28th November 2022, (suddenly) at his home in Belfast, Alan, formerly of Kilrea, son of the late George and Isobel and dear brother of June, David, Chryl, Darren and the late Ann. Service will be held at Kilrea Cemetery on Thursday at 1.00pm. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired to N.I. Christina (Chris) McLaughlin (née McCready), 8 Burnside Gardens, Kilfennan
The death has occurred of Christina (Chris) McLaughlin (née McCready), 28th November 2022, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved wife of Charlie, 8 Burnside Gardens, Kilfennan, dear sister of Bosco, George and the late Seamus, Lily, Mary, Bridie, Vera and Patricia. Funeral from her home on Thursday at 9.25am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Columb’s Church, Waterside. Interment afterwards in St Mary’s cemetery, Ardmore. The mass can be viewed live on the Waterside Parish website. Family time please from 10.00pm to 12noon. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
Seamus (James) O'Kane, 107 Altmover Road, Dungiven
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Seamus (James) O’Kane peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on 28th November 2022, late of 107 Altmover Road, Dungiven, Co Derry. Beloved husband of Rose and loving father of Caroline Ferris,James, Adrian, Roisin McLaughlin and Martin. A devoted grandfather and great grandfather. Loving son of the late James and Catherine R.I.P and dear brother of Philomena, Brian, Kathleen, Roger, Margaret, Patsy and Marian. Reposing at his late home. Family time please from 10.00pm to 11.00am. Funeral on Thursday, 1st December, leaving his late home at 1.15pm for 2.00pm Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church Dungiven, interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining church graveyard. Family flowers only please, donations of wished in lieu to Foyle Hospice c/o McLaughlin Funeral Directors. Deeply regretted by all his loving family and the entire family circle. Jackie Torrens, East Road, Limavady
The death has taken place of Jackie Torrens, 28th November 2022, (peacefully) passed away at his own home East Road, Limavady. Much loved brother of Meta, Evelyn and May, dear brother in law of William and Harold, devoted uncle of Heather, Glynn, Robert, Lynn and the late David. Funeral service will be held in his sister Evelyn's home, 63 Terrydremond Road, Limavady on Wednesday at 1.00pm followed by burial in Balteagh Presbyterian Church burial ground at 2.00pm. (All welcome at his sister Evelyn and Harold's home for the wake and funeral) Family flowers only please donations if desired and cheques payable to Chest, Heart and Stroke Association and forwarded to Browns Funeral Directors, 21 Aghanloo Ind Est, Aghanloo Road, Limavady. Will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his entire family circle.
