Rory Barr (29) of Strand Road in Derry appeared charged with possessing a knife on April 26. He was also facing an arrest warrant

A man accused of criminal damage causing more than £2,000 has appeared at Derry Magistrate's Court today facing an arrest warrant and a new charge.

Rory Barr (29) of Strand Road in Derry appeared charged with possessing a knife on April 26.

He was also facing an arrest warrant.

A police officer connected the accused to the charge and said that bail was agreed but the problem was that Barr had no address.

District Judge Ted Magill granted bail to an address approved by the PSNI.

As part of his bail conditions Barr is excluded from a section of the Strand Road where the criminal damage was said to have occurred.

He will appear again next month.
