Foyle Hospice encourage local ladies to sign up for Female Walk/Run

It's that time of year again when local ladies lace up those trainers to pound the pavements for the Foyle Hospice Female Walk/Run.
The highlight of each year in the Foyle Hospice fundraising calendar is the Female Walk/Run and this year will certainly be no exception as there are over 4,000 participants expected to take part on Sunday, June 11.
Noel McMonagle, Community Fundraising Manager at the Hospice, encouraged local ladies and girls to get registered for the event and the sooner the better as there will be a prize draw for early entrants.
“We are delighted to announce the date for this year’s Female Walk/Run as Sunday, June 11,” he said.
“We are hoping that this year’s event will attract in excess of 4,000 participants on to our streets and help the work of the Hospice.
“We are also hoping that as many people as possible will be able to raise some sponsorship for us as we endeavour to help improve our services for our patients and their families here at Foyle Hospice.”
Mr McMonagle added: “As an extra incentive there will be a special prize drawn for all of those who return their sponsorship to us before the end of August.
“We are also delighted that Seagate and the Derry News have come on board as sponsors for this year.”
