Gritters have been working throughout the morning to clear Glenshane
Gritters have been working throughout the early hours of this morning to make sure that road conditions were safe for commuters travelling along the Glenshane Pass.
Last Monday morning, motorists travelling between Maghera and Dungiven were forced to endure lengthy tailbacks due to treacherous conditions after The Department of Regional Development (DRD) failed to ensure that snow was cleared of the road.
During Question Time at Stormont last Monday morning, Sinn Féin MLA, Cathal O’hOisín questioned the Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy as to why the Glenshane Pass wasn’t properly gritted.
