Kennedy announces £350,000 major resurfacing works on A6 Glenshane Pass
Transport Minister Danny Kennedy has announced the start of a £350,000 resurfacing scheme at Glenshane Pass.
Works on the 2 kilometre scheme in the vicinity of Eden Quarry, are due to start on 23 March.
The Minister said: “This scheme will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of the carriageway on this strategic route between the North West and Belfast.”
TransportNI has carefully programmed the works and traffic management arrangements in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public, however motorists should be aware that some delays may be expected and that additional time should be allowed when planning any journeys.
The scheme is expected to be substantially completed by early April.
The above planned dates are subject to favourable weather conditions and TransportNI will keep the public informed of any change.
