Kids come to the aid of Derry shop-owner whose business was wrecked at the weekend

A Derry shop-owner has praised a group of young people who came to his aid after his store was wrecked at the weekend.
Mohamed Ali runs a confectionary shop at Shipquay Place beside the Guildhall in the city centre.
On Saturday night, a number of people became involved in a fight in the shop.
During the incident, some of those involved in the fight fell on to shelves in the shop, sending stock scattering across the store.
Mr Ali, who is well-known in Derry through his involvement with Bright Stars football club, posted images of the damage on Facebook yesterday and said he was disheartened by the incident and was considering closing the shop.
Yesterday afternoon, however, a group of young people who regularly gather in the area around the shop called into the premises to help Mr Ali clean up.
Mr Ali said he was touched by the gesture and added that the young people were a credit to themselves and their families.
“I never have any bother with the young people. The bother comes from the drunks,” said Mr Ali.
