A nine-year-old Derry girl will take to stage and screen this Saturday to impress Ireland’s Got Talent judges, Louis Walsh, Michelle Visage, Jason Byrne and Denise van Outen.

Cora Harkin will appear this Saturday night on the show, which airs on TV3 at 7.30pm, to belt out one of her favourite songs – from a little girl comes a very big voice.

Cora’s genre is musical theatre; she attends Fresh Academy under the excellent tutelage of her teacher, Sinead Crossan.

Although Cora has no problem with performing, she was slightly nervous meeting Irish music mentor, Louis Walsh.

Among the pint-sized performer’s achievements she came second place in Teenstars Ireland 2017, was a 2017 finalist in the Irish talent show, Opportunity Knocks, and was a runner up in Talent North West 2016. Cora has also performed for charities such as Children in Crossfire.

Cora began writing songs when she was just seven-years-old and has uploaded a couple of originals to her YouTube channel - Secret of Songs.

She won her school talent show when she accompanied herself on the guitar, with an original song entitled 'Far, Far, Away', she has also penned originals include 'Whatever I do'; 'Rebel' and ukulele-accompanied 'Just for You'.

As Ireland’s Got Talent continues this weekend, Cora will feature alongside 10 other acts including singers, traditional Irish dancers, and the show’s first freak-show artist.

To get behind the little Derry girl, tune in to Ireland’s Got Talent this Saturday, March 3, at 7.30pm, followed by Ireland’s Got Mór Talent at 8.30pm.
