Logue welcomes review of Blue Badge application process

News that the renewal process for Blue Badge holders with life-long mobility issues is to be reviewed has been welcomed by a Derry councillor.

Sinn Fein’s Patricia Logue said she hoped the review, announced by her party colleague and Infrastructure Minister Chris Hazzard, would produce a simpler, more accessible application process for those applicants with life-long mobility issues.

She added: “There is no doubt the renewal process should be adjusted for badge holders who have conditions which are unlikely to change.

“I would encourage all those in Derry with an interest to take part in the consultation process that will begin early in 2017.”
