Man returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on arson and assault charges

Louis Gonzalez (20) of Breda Park in Drumahoe in Derry appeared at a preliminary enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court was charged with arson with intent to endanger life on June 24 last year
A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on charges of arson and assault on police and on a male.
Louis Gonzalez (20) of Breda Park in Drumahoe in Derry appeared at a preliminary enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court was charged with arson with intent to endanger life on June 24 last year.
He was also charged with an assault on a police officer and a male on June 23 last year.
It was accepted that there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions.
Gonzalez chose not to call any witnesses or to submit any written statement at this stage.
He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on July 29.
