Mark Farren opens new Derry futsal centre

Former Derry City striker Mark Farren has opened Derry’s newest futsal centre.

Mark, who recently returned from Mexico where he underwent treatment for a brain tumour, joined Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District, Councillor Elisha McCallion, to cut the ribbon at the Foyle Futsal Centre in Skeoge Industrial Estate.

The new centre offers training for all ages on five-a-side indoor pitches, and there was plenty of young local talent on hand to test out the new facilities.
