Moneymore Turkish barber shop burgled

Mid-Ulster DUP Assembly MLA, Ian McCrea, has condemned those responsible for the burglary of a Turkish Barber Shop in Moneymore. Ian McCrea said: “I am disgusted to once again hear of another burglary in Moneymore that took place in the early hours of Wednesday (January 13) where a window was smashed and the perpetrator/s gained entry through a back door. "It is not clear at this stage if anything was stolen, but this is the last thing a hard working business owner needs to find when they open up their premises for work. "This is an unfortunate incident and regrettably it is not the first burglary in the Moneymore area of late and in light of this it is extremely important that people in the area exercise vigilance and take extra care to ensure that their properties are fully secured. "I have spoken to the police to express my concerns about this recent spate of burglaries in Moneymore and have asked them to increase their presence and take a zero tolerance attitude against those responsible. "It is important that anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area of High Street, Moneymore comes forward with any information, no matter how small, to the police which may help them with their investigations and help apprehend those responsible and ensure they are brought to justice.”
