New Year concert to showcase Derry's 'Homegrown' musical talent
Derry's musical talent will go on show in a special concert to be staged in the city next month.
The Homegrown concert at the Millennium Forum on Saturday, January 17, will feature performances from Paul Casey, Paddy Nash and the Happy Enchiladas, Best Boy Grip (pictured above) and John Deery and the Heads.
It will be third year that the event has been held.
The Homegrown concert was first put on by Paul Casey in 2013 as part of the Derry’s City of Culture celebrations.
However, it was such a success that it looks set to become an annual event.
Paul Casey said he was delighted to be back for a third year.
“The idea fingers crossed is that Homegrown will continue to be an annual event which showcases the incredible musical talent in this town and to bring through more varied acts as it continues,” he said.
“The support from the town for this event has been massive which proved to us all that we in Derry like to champion our own.
“There is such a brilliant growing community for local music and long may it continue.”
Tickets for the concert are now available at the Millennium Forum.
