An organisation made up of community development groups in Derry will hold an open day this week.

The DiverseCity Community Partnership (DCCP) will host the event on Friday, September 9, at 10.30am in their premises at 10-14 Bishop Street.

The North West Civic Activism Project is also hosting a MacMillan Coffee morning in conjunction with the open day.

Everyone is welcome to come along and join in the community development conversations.

At 12.30pm there will be a lunchtime event giving all the partnership organisations an opportunity to share information on the work that they are involved in and to give visitors the chance to see the facilities available for hire.

The DCCP is comprised of 10 separate organisations: Holywell Trust; Extern; Reach Across; The Junction; North West Community Network; Towards Understanding and Health;

Dog Ears; Foyle Women’s Information Network; Foyle BME Voluntary Collective; and The Resurgence Academy.

Gerard Deane, Director at Holywell Trust, said: “There are fantastic state-of-the-art facilities at our Bishop Street premises and this is a great opportunity to show the city what we have to offer.

“DCCP also want to welcome people who would be interested in investigating potential partnership and co-operative working opportunities with us and our partners.”
