Over 600 apply for Derry restaurant jobs - but only five posts available!

Over 600 people have applied for a job in a Derry restaurant.

However, only five posts are actually available.

The well known Mandarin Karma restaurant was flooded with replies from job seekers when it advertised recently.

Owner Stan Lee said that they were "overwhelmed" with the response.

Speaking on Highland Radio, he said that many of the applicants were returning emigrants from Australia and America.

The high number of applicants reflects the difficult jobs climate in the north-west.
