Pensioner dies in house fire

Police can confirm that a man, aged in his 80’s, has died following a fire at a house on the Lissan Road in Cookstown. Police received a report of a fire at a house shortly before 9.50am this morning Tuesday, November 15. Emergency Services attended but unfortunately the man was found deceased at the scene. An investigation into the cause of the fire, which is not believed to be suspicious, is now underway.
