Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision on the Cookstown to Moneymore dual carriageway on the evening of Wednesday, June 24. At around 6.35pm, police received a report that a cyclist had been struck by a car approximately two miles from Moneymore. The 44 year-old cyclist was treated in hospital for life altering injuries. Inspector Daniel Walsh said: “I am especially appealing to two witnesses who were at the scene of the collision. One is believed to be a man who attended the cyclist and the other was a woman who made the 999 call to the emergency services. These two witnesses, or anyone who witnessed the collision, is asked to contact Dungannon Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.”
