Police issue warning over 'travelling crime gang' they believe were behind attempted burglaries at homes in the Greenhaw Road area of Derry

THE PSNI in Derry have appealed to members of the public to ensure their homes are properly locked after a number of attempted burglaries in the Greenhaw area of Derry on Friday night.

The incidents happened at around 9pm and police believe what they describe as a 'travelling crime gang targeting who are targeting the elderly and nicer houses' to be behind the incidents.

Police have also appealed for taxis or cars with dashcam footage from the Greenhaw Road area at 9pm on Friday night to check their footage for three men they wish to speak to.

They have also urged people to ensure their homes are properly secured.
