Receptionist at newly-opened Derry hotel wins major award

An employee at a newly-opened Derry hotel has scooped a major award.
Stephanie McCarron, of the Bishop’s Gate Hotel, was named ‘Most Promising Hotel Receptionist of the Year 2016’ at the Hotel Receptionist of the Year Awards held in Derry.
Stephanie was described by the judges as ‘an enthusiastic people person, intelligent and very innovative’.
The hotel, located in the former Northern Counties Building on Bishop Street, opened its doors to the public for the first time at the start of March this year.
The awards, which are hosted annually by the Northern Ireland Hotels Federation, were held at the City Hotel.
