Application submitted to Carlow County Council for the construction of 59 new houses

A planning application has been lsubmitted to Carlow County Council for the construction of 59 new homes located off the Rathoe Road in Tullow.

Development company, Tidefall Limited submitted the application on October 23, 2026, for a residential development on a site previously identified as Phase 2 at Cuanahowan.

Access to the development is proposed through the existing Cuanahowan estate.

As part of the plans, Tidefall Limited is also seeking permission for car parking, bin storage areas, open spaces, landscaping and boundary treatments, along with all associated site development works and services.

The application is currently at the pre validation stage with Carlow County Council.

If validated, the application will progress through the planning process, with details and submissions available on the Carlow County Council website.

Decision from Carlow County Council on the proposed planning is due on December 17, 2026.
