Severe weather affecting Derry's unemployed

The North West's unemployed are the latest group to be affected by the harsh weather affecting the region,.

Jobseekers due to attend  Lisnagelvin and Foyle Jobs and Benefits Offices, and Strabane Social Security Office, today have been excused from signing due to the adverse weather conditions.  

"Customers do not have to attend these offices today<" a Benefits spoikesperson said.  

Those due to sign tomorrow are advised to "attend as normal."

Those who sign on Thursday 15th January should attend as normal.
